Self: Currently Under Construction

I figured and appropriate place to start this blog is day one of the recreation process. I am challenging my self  to a 60 day deadline for a complete return to self. What I mean by this is that I plan to break habits that I have adopted both physically and mentally. These habits include but are not limited to; Saying what others want to hear rather than what I really feel; Eating Healthy as opposed to my typical day of Coke and/or Rockstar, Chocolate and Beer. :) (I'm keeping all of these but limiting to once a week instead of one a day. In addition to a long and laborious list of habits, procrastination is probably number one; I will stop putting off for tomorrow what can be done today. I will stop complaining about how busy I am and instead say I am very productive and life is an adventure. I will meditate every morning; something I have meant to do for a long, long time. My mind cannot afford to put this off anymore, I heard someone (I think Esther Hicks) say
"Saying your too busy to meditate is like saying 'I'm going to take a trip, but I'll put gas in the car later."

It is actually day 2 now. I was interrupted yesterday.

Yesterday I ate:

Cucumbers with Apple Cider Vinegar
Cottage Cheese
Dieter's Cleansing Tea
3 Aussie Bites (like little muffins with Flax Seed and Sunflower Seeds
At least 6 glasses of Water
A glass of Wine

Today (Day 2)

Coffee with Honey and Half and Half
Dieter's Tea
At least 5 glasses of water
Potato Salad
Celery Sticks
Fish Oil Capsules
1 Aussie Bite
1 Apple Slice
1 Beer
(Before Bed: Water with Zeolite and Melatonin)

Basically, I only snacked these two days and ate no meat. Light snacks are easier than fasting but helps your body to eliminate toxins better without the burden of processing so much food.

Zeolite is a volcanic mineral with very strong chelation properties. It has a microscopic cage like structure that captures metals that are positively charged toxins in the body (toxins are positively charged, even cancer).  Zeolite has a negative charge (healthy) and is therefore attracted like a magnet to the positive toxins. Once through the system, the mineral, along with the toxins is flushed from your system. Another amazing property of this mineral is it's ability to cross the blood-brain barrier where many toxins like Aluminum and Mercury accumulate, sometimes for life.

Eliminating toxins from the body is very important for weight loss as toxins are often stored in fat cells, imploding the cell and sometimes even deactivating the cells ability to be used up as fuel. Toxins affect everything from our thyroid function, to circulation, to our heart, kidneys and liver (sometimes leading to diabetes) . Once the system has been cleared of toxins, the lymphatic system's flow will be restored, kidneys and liver will filter better and you will be amazed at the energy you have. The body will have a chance to start over again. But without this, some will try for a good portion of their lives, never understanding why they don't lose weight despite their diet and exercise.

The other important factor besides the obvious diet and exercise is the mind. The power of the mind is real and can be seen in everyday activities. Has anyone ever mentioned something gross to you and the thought alone makes you ill? Or as in clinical trials when the placebo is often just as effective as the medicine... it's the mind talking. And what about sex? How does arousal begin? Climax or an erection, certain thoughts turn you on or off. Again, the trend here being the word "thought", the quote from the movie "The Secret", couldn't be more true "thoughts become things."

So what I am getting at here is the benefits of meditation and mindfulness. Some need this more than others. Myself? I have an old habit of overwhelming myself, overstimulating myself and exhausting myself, again, I know this is all connected to my thought patterns (working on it). I get trapped on auto pilot and carried away with the business of being a mom, forgetting to be present in the moment and treat each day as a new day, not robotically like the last day. The brain is a muscle and needs training too and only when you visualize the beautiful person you are on the inside, on the outside, will it become real. You have to see it and make it real in your mind. Let it be your focus...the new you. Do not dwell on the flaws, dwell on your beauty and it will bloom. :)
